Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 official abbreviated to PES 2014, also known in Japan and South Korea as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2014 is an association football video game and the latest game in Pro Evolution Soccer series, developed and published by Konami.

PES 2014 was being developed with six key elements in mind, that will define the physics and the features of the game. PES 2014 will center everything on the ball: how it moves, and how players use it. Gameplay:

PES 2014 uses the Fox Engine, a cross-platform game engine built by Kojima Productions. It is believed that this engine is designed for the next generation of video games. The engine was revealed by Konami on June 3, 2011. The engine's development began after the completion of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The engine will make it possible for Kojima Productions to develop multiplatform games with a significantly shortened development time and has been described as the first step for the developer to move away from development for a single platform.

The new engine makes use of Havok- "The product of several years of collaboration between Havok and Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., PES 2014 offers advanced Physics, Animation Studio and Cloth technology, for a comprehensive simulation of each on-field player. Each player’s intricate movements are naturally represented according to the individual player’s mass and physique, and each uniform reacts realistically according to the players’ moves and speed.

Gameplay:

The game's gameplay will be more similar to the first game with a story-driven adventure rather than the second game which replaced the story-driven narrative with a simple co-op and grind-heavy campaign. The game takes place long before the events of the first game, and hence the planet of E.D.N. III is still in an ice-age like environment rather than the tropical environment of the second game that occurs after the events of the first game. It takes place during the time of the first few human colonists on E.D.N. III sent there by the Neo-Venus Construction company or NEVEC, who later become the main antagonists for the series. The game follows the story of Jim Peyton, a colonist who is working for NEVEC and helping mine the planet and sending minerals back to Earth, where his family awaits him. The game, however, doesn't feature militarized VS bipedal mechs like previous entries in the series, and instead features mechs called Rigs that are the predecessors of VS mechs, given the timeline of the game. Unlike VS mechs, Rigs aren't militarized with weapons and instead are equipped with drill arms and claw arms for mining.

World War Z is a 2013 apocalyptic film directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan is loosely based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Max Brooks. Pitt's Plan B Entertainment secured the film rights in 2007 and Forster was approached to direct. In 2009, Carnahan was hired to rewrite the script to the film. Filming began in July 2011 in Malta on an estimated $125 million budget, before moving to Glasgow in August 2011 and Budapest in October 2011. Originally set for a December 2012 release, the production suffered some setbacks. In June 2012, the film's release date was pushed back and the crew returned to Budapest for seven weeks of additional shooting. Damon Lindelof was hired to rewrite the third act, but did not have the time to finish the script and Drew Goddard was hired to rewrite it. The reshoots took place between September and October 2012.

World War Z premiered in London on June 2, 2013 and was chosen to open the 35th Moscow International Film Festival. The film was released on June 21, 2013 in the United States in 2D and RealD 3D. The film was a commercial success, grossing over $530 million on a $190 million budget but met with mixed reviews. A sequel was cancelled during the film's troubled filming process, but is now in development once again.

Gameplay:

Total War: Rome II is set in classical antiquity, and focuses on portraying each culture of the era as accurately and in-depth as possible, as opposed to its predecessor which focused almost solely on the Roman Republic and its politics. The grand campaign begins in 272BC, and lasts for 300 years. However, the player also has the option to play further, as there are no timed victory conditions in Rome II.

The Warscape Engine will power the visuals of the game and the new unit cameras will allow players to focus on individual soldiers on the battlefield, which in itself may contain thousands of combatants at a time. Creative Assembly has stated that they wish to bring out the more human side of war this way, with soldiers reacting with horror as their comrades get killed around them and officers inspiring their men with heroic speeches before siege towers hit the walls of the enemy city. This will be realised using facial animations for individual units, adding a feel of horror and realism to the battles.

Armies and navies will also have changeable stances on the campaign map. These stances determine many things, among them total movement points per turn or the ability to deploy traps for an ambush. These stances will initially be called "Forced March" that will enable an army to march further, but will also tire out its men and reduce their fighting ability; "Defensive Stance" will enable the player to place stakes and perhaps build temporary forts and finally "Ambush Stance" will enable the placing of bales of hay that will be set alight and rolled into the enemy's formations when ambushing, for example. 

Armies in Rome II can be made up of a maximum of 40 units, including naval and land units and must have a general to lead them. There is also a cap on the number of armies a faction can have at any time based on the faction's power. A faction can gain more power by conquering more regions and filling its coffers with gold. This system has been implemented to make battles more decisive and for them to have a bigger impact on a war between two factions. Players will have the ability to name units in an army and change their emblems.

The cover system is also described as "organic" in nature; for example, the player does not need to "walk up to certain tagged things and press the cover button; Clarke or Carver just does the action that is appropriate for the given situation.
